More learning to be done... 21. To be good at marriage I must learn the delicate balance between needing my husband, which honors him & shows him respect, vs being needy of him, which will drain him & set him up for failure. I must first have my deepest needs filled up elsewhere... In Christ alone. Then, and only then, my husbands love becomes a delightful recurring surprise! 22. I dont want to always walk in the power of the Holy Spirit... Sometimes I want to run or dance or skip with the power of the Holy Spirit! 23. I am a high end bedding snob. There. I said it. Its out there for all to see. I love luxurious, whispery soft pajamas & sheets! I dream of the welcome of my memory foam mattress & pillow! And I delight in being tangled up with my favorite airy down comforter... Even in August... In Texas... With my AC turned embarrassingly low! (Lisa Carry, its the same down comforter you gave me so long ago for med school graduation as I headed north to Cincinnati!) 24. There are hard things in life worth doing, often they are critical. 25. Thinking is hard work. It takes the awareness of a need for it, intentionally making time for it, having the discipline to focus on it, and the required follow through for it to make a difference in how you do life. But without it, I will end up in a place that will leave me wondering how I got there.
