More reports from The Fringe! Near Gone was a sweet, moving piece about the anxieties we face when someone close to us is involved in a critical accident. A mix of Bulgarian, English... and dancing!! 4/5 Backstage In Biscuit Land was one of the funniest, most life-affirming shows Ive seen in my 15 years of coming to the Fringe. Told but someone with Tourettes, it was an eye-opener and a guffaw-generator. 5/5 and my pick of the Fringe so far. Ive seen every show Owen ONeill has put on in Edinburgh since he did one about Henry Fonda many years ago, and he always makes for an engaging, smile-inducing hour. 4/5 Red Bastard was rude and confrontational, which I expected, but also surprisingly thought-provoking and inspirational. The message was clear -- chase your dreams while you can, and stop making excuses. 4/5 And now Im off to see Adam Riches, before heading for The Generation Of Z, where I will be chased through a complex by zombies. Not real ones, I hope, or this might be my last post ever!!!! :-)
