More than 400 of our employees put on their yellow shirts and participated in our annual Day of Service. Volunteers participated in about a half dozen service projects throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, assisting with painting, maintenance, landscaping and gardening. Volunteers painted a mural at the South Miami Aquatic Center; beautified four Habitat for Humanity homes in Liberty City; refreshed classrooms and landscaped at Miami Youth for Christ in Homestead; created the first butterfly garden at Golf Village Park in Sunrise; and helped with landscaping at Gilbert Porter L. Elementary and Christina M. Eve Elementary Schools. Bill Duquette, CEO of Homestead Hospital, and Lincoln Mendez, CEO of South Miami Hospital, were among the many who rolled up their sleeves and lent a helping hand.
