Morgan (aka Pelagius) defended this philosophy, that Good government and peace through kingship was a fundamental requirement of civilised life - and religion as we know it did not exist! - in Africa, Rome and Jerusalem, c 386-430, sent by the synod at Winchester, and was admonished by the bishop of Rome with these words: "Sola in Britannia Ecclesia Britannica jude" (only in Britain, is the British church judged)
