Mornin! I love getting letters from yall, and I reply to every one. But this letter from Eric in Charlotte really tugged at the ole heart strings. It kind of made my whole week, and it was already a good week! Now Im tearing up again, oyyyyy. Hi Amy! I just wanted to send you a message telling you how much I adore you and your blog. Your sense of humor makes me wish you were my BFF. My goyish partner Chris, who was friends with Joan Rivers (not name dropping, that actually has relevance to what Im about to say) was obviously devastated last month upon receiving the message of her passing. It was reading some of the WJWE posts of yours that made him laugh again. Ive been meaning to send out a note of thanks and appreciation to you, but admittedly, I was caught up in the high holidays festivities, especially since I foolishly offered to host our annual Break Fast here in Charlotte. So, here it is. Just a big ole thank you for being you and doing what you do. You are fabulous, and quite honestly, my Bubbe would be thanking you as well, as reading your blog has caused me to dig out old recipes and be more embracing of her traditional Shabbat and holiday recipes. Although, Im still trying to get that matzoh ball soup recipe from Melissa Rivers, because Id make Joans Blue Balls any day. Hopefully you saw or heard of that Joan Knows Best episode, or youre probably thinking Im even more of a freak than you already do for just messaging you out of nowhere. XOXOX
