Morning Inspiration: There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies Gold-and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. 1st Peter 1:7 When gold is heated, impurities float to the top to be removed, making the metal even more precious and valuable. Steel is strengthened greatly by exposure to extreme temperatures. Here, Peter encourages followers of Jesus to take the heat...and keep the faith in times of fiery trials. Even when they are so hot, that it seems like they will burn us to a crisp, we have to recognize that Jesus is allowing us to be purified and made stronger. From distress to destruction, disease and even death, we hold on to our faith, leaning on His strength to get us through, knowing we will come out more like our Savior in the end. For faithful followers of Jesus, the end...is just the beginning, of something much more beautiful and valuable than we could ever have here in our present condition.
