Morning Prayer Saturday 6th December 2014r Intention: The intentions of the Blessed virgin Mary In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. Amen O God, come to our aid. R. O Lord, make haste to help us. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Alleluia. Short Reading Isaiah 11:1-3 A shoot springs from the stock of Jesse, a scion thrusts from his roots: on him the spirit of the Lord rests, a spirit of wisdom and insight, a spirit of counsel and power, a spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is his delight. The word of the Lord The Lord, our God, is coming: let us put aside fear, and look forward to the future with courage. R. Your kingdom come! Lord, you make all things and renew them: all creation displays your work. R. Your kingdom come! You have given us dominion over the earth: may our work have a share of your creative power. R. Your kingdom come! We pray for those who work for the relief of suffering in others; may they also know comfort and understanding. R. Your kingdom come! As we rest from our work at the end of the week, restore our strength and give us time to know you. R. Your kingdom come! Glória Patri, et Fílio, et Spirítui Sancto. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc, et semper, et in sæcula sæculórum. Amen. Let us Pray: Lord, to free man from his sinful state you sent your only Son into this world. Grant to us who in faith and love wait for his coming your gift of grace and the reward of true freedom. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. The Lord bless us, and keep us from all evil, and bring us to everlasting life.
