Morning Reminder. Monday 16th/17th day of Ramadan. The Wisdom and significant behind our 5 daily Salaat. Please dont miss reading todays reminders due to its significance in shaa Allah. Yesterday a brother asked me about the Islamic rulings on someone who is fasting but doesnt offer his Salaat at all. This question was like a shock to me how a modern human being who claim to be Muslim but yet decide not to offer Salaat but will join us in fasting. Based on this question I decided to come up with this topic to remind us about the significance of all the pillars of Islam especially Salaat. As Muslims, seeking Islamic knowledge is compulsory else we will end up worshipping ignorantly which will end up been rejected by Allah astaqfurAllah. Some people with high western knowledge but less Islamic knowledge actually think that the commands of Islamic Shari’ah carry no wisdom, purpose, or significance. They think like the atheist and believe that its components are loosely related to each other and lack logical harmony. These commands are simply to test the loyalty and obedience of a servant by his Master. It is simply a servant-master relationship and nothing beyond. If the servant obeys, he is rewarded and if he disobeys, he is then punished. The study of the traditions of Prophet (S.A.W) Hadith, and the consensus of scholars reject this misconceived notion. Had there been no wisdom behind these commands, how then it came to be based on human intention and psychology. The intention and motivation with which a person carries out these commands form the very basis of Shari’ah and Shari’ah applies this criterion for the acceptance or rejection of servant’s performance. Salaat enables a man to see his creator Allah (SWT) in the Hereafter but not possible on earth. The Prophet (S.A.W) says that you will see Allah (SWT) in the Hereafter as you see the moon without doubting it. He emphasizes that one should not miss the salaat to be among the fortunate. (Bukhari & Muslim). Lets avoid following or listening to non Muslims on religious issues else as Allah said in Quran 3:100, they will deviate us into kufur (disbeliev e) after our guidance through the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. To be continued in shaa Allah. We ask Allah to protect us from any satanic influences. Aamin.
