Morning Theres a chill to the air this morning and itll turn - TopicsExpress

Morning Theres a chill to the air this morning and itll turn even chillier later this weekend as a northerly wind arrives, with single figure overnight temperatures on the way for many of us. Today will be another mixed bag of sunshine and showers once the early cloud clears across England, Wales and southern Scotland. the rest of Scotland and N Ireland should enjoy some decent sunshine today, though a showers will bubble up, especially over south west Scotland where there is a risk of heavy thundery showers later on. The rest of the UK will have less showers to deal with than yesterday, but once the heat of the sun warms things up there is a possibility of some scattered heavy thundery showers arriving. Cloud will roll in from the the northwest by evening dleivering some patchy drizzle for nw Scotland and the cloud will thicken and spread further south overnight reaching N Ireland, Scotland and northern England, along with a strengthening wind. The rest of the UK should have a dry, chilly and mainly clear night and a decent start to the Saturday morning. The cloud and patchy showers will slowly spread south over the weekend and the south coast may escape any rain until late on Sunday, though with the cloud thickening a few patchy showers could arrive during the afternoon.
