Morning devotion 18th June 2013. Topic: Refuse to be silenced. Text:"Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime." (Daniel 6:10). Silence means not speaking or 2 prevent sm1 4rm speaking. Its always painful wen sm1 that wants 2 speak is prevented 4rm speaking. Many things could hinder sm1 4rm speaking out for eg fear of being exposed for wat was done in d hidden, shy etc. God expects us 2 always communicate with him through prayers, praises, witnessing 2 pple about him etc but some things hav silenced us. Things like sin, unfaithfulness, fear of pple etc which shld not be so. Frm our text, d king of Babylon & other pple wanted 2 silence Daniel in his communication with God, but Daniel refused 2 be silenced which landed him in2 d lions den but God delivered him. N/B For sm1 to silence u, he must hav deemed himself as being more superior than u are. God is d most superior & he lives in u, no one shld be able 2 silence u. Weneva we refuse 2 be silenced in respect 2 God, he turns up immediately 2 save us. Prayer: O Lord, help me not 2 be silenced in d precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Beluvd, refuse 2 be silenced, speak out...
