Morning guys and gals, Im quite the beginner with this stuff - TopicsExpress

Morning guys and gals, Im quite the beginner with this stuff but I have been going out to a very nice dark sky spot I found about an hour north of me. I currently use a Nikon D7100 with my wide angle 12-24mm f/4. Im trying to stay on a budget with a trip and such coming up. Any idea what a good set of settings would be for that lens? I normally go up to 6400 ISO for 25 seconds or so but experience noise and some very minor, minor, minor haze from the beginnings of trailing. Would I be better with upping the ISO even higher for shorter exposures and then stacking (say 30 of them) them in Deep Sky Stacker? Im looking at getting good shots of the Milky Way and then trying my luck on getting good photos of M31 with my 80-200mm f/2.8 Just looking for some thoughts tonight before I possibly make the trek out there tonight. Thanks in advance!
