Morning meditation. Walking gently with presence on the Earth, I discovered a maze of tide pools and ridges. A metaphor took shape and found its way into my ritual. Two roads diverged. I noticed to the left smooth, easy, calm, certain. To the right bumpy spines, an agitated path. Both led to the same beautiful open tide pool where I would be happily splashing regardless of my choice. So the question was....a road of calm, easy, certainty that would be soft and quiet without much surprise and potentially less consciousness expanding due to lack of variety OR a road of heightened fluctuation, uncertainty, self sourcing for survival, exciting and ever changing but the highs equally matched by the lows? Both would get me to my destination. What experience did I wish to choose? I paused.....
