Morning rant without coffee!! Support your favorite artist but dont let radio determine what that artist is! There are a lot of great artist that for reasons that I will tell you when I decide to retire, will NEVER get played on your favorite radio station! It doesnt matter how many times you call the station and vote.....its just the way it is! Now there are exceptions out there! Radio that decided not to be owned by a city full of record labels! Those stations should be commended but sadly are losing money because they actually care about the craft of music! Until you start supporting them more than a corporate station, playing songs off a corporate playlist, complied by corporate people that truly think you are some of the dumbest people on earth, its only going to get worse! That is why 5 of the top 10 songs on country radio right now sound exactly the same only with different lyrics! Now, as much as I would love for you to want to hear me on the radio, this rant is for the other guys! Artists that have more true talent than 90% of the ones that you see as A Listers! Put them on a level playing field and they will blow the superstars away! THOSE artist are what should be on the radio today! Find those people, whoever they are, and supper them! Your favorite artists are spending enough money to be heard that you will hear them regardless!
