Morning worship Service at L.P.B Church Massage “Can America Return To God” From Rev. Robert L Gosey 2 Chronicles 6: 40-42 07-07-2013 My Notes; When America was born we as Americans were blessed by God. We are able to worship God openly and not get killed or persecuted because of the Laws our four Fathers pasted of freedom of region . The pilgrims, as you will recall, were, Christians fleeing Europe in order to escape religious persecution, and they literally began their stay in their new land with the words, “In the name of God, Amen.” The pilgrims were followed to New England by the Puritans, who created bible-based commonwealths. Those commonwealths practiced the same sort of representative government as their church covenants. Those governmental covenants and compacts numbered more than 100, and were the foundation for our Constitution. In 1777. Continental Congress voted to spend $300,000 to purchase bibles which were to be distributed throughout the 13 colonies! And in 1782, the United States Congress declared, “The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools. What’s wrong with the USA now is people are making the wrong choice in the God they serve . God gives us that choice to fallow him or fallow false Gods we reap what we sow . So can Americans return to God ? Of course we can. God says in the Bible 2 Chronicles 7:14 – If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Oh, what a promise that God sends not only to America, but to the world on this morning! Healing is available to the world again, on today! God is offering us another opportunity to repent, turn from our wicked ways and seek Him on this day that the Lord has made. OUR PLEDGE- Christians, Saints (believers around the world). God has identified us this morning as His people. God says (My People)! The Lord is calling us by name to (humble) ourselves on this morning under the Mighty Hands of God. We are to (Pray) to the Father in Heaven, (Seek) His face and (turn from) our evil ways. Dear God , search my heart and if there is any wicked way in me show me so I can repent so you can cleanse me from any sin and sat me free . I love you God in Jesus name Amen.
