#MorningDevotion #WordForToday: HE RESTORES BROKEN HEARTS “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 There are a lot of people in the world suffering from a broken heart. In this age of selfishness and accelerated immorality, children’s hearts are being broken at very young ages due to divorces and child abuse. The whole world is searching for a cure for their broken hearts and they search for it in all the wrong places only to end up more broken than they were. We as believers know the cure. Jesus is the cure for broken hearts. He is the only one who can bind up the wounds of past hurts that we have encountered in this cruel world. Some memories are so hard to deal with that people bury them deep trying their best to forget them but it never works. Their only hope for restoration is for them to let Jesus in. He will help them deal with their pain; heal their wounds and help them to forgive. We who know the cure should not hesitate to point unbelievers to Jesus. We should not hesitate to let them know of the one who heals broken hearts and restores broken spirits. Let us tell them to come and drink from him and that when they do, they will never thirst again.
