#MorningShowers GREATNESS?? How can ones greatness be - TopicsExpress

#MorningShowers GREATNESS?? How can ones greatness be measured? Who can we say is the greatest amongst us? This question has burgled minds from time immemorial. This puzzle of who wins the title of The greatest has set religious sects, peer groups and social groups amok. Theres always a hidden-loud clamor to be noticed as the one whom the cap fits. Also, political pundits are in an electoral quagmire with their presidential and gubernatorial candidates. A lot of them have pumelled themselves in order to accentuate their claims of being the greatest. Some put up a perfunctionary charade just to win this title, still it remains a hard nut to crack... Concepts, wrongly defined will grossly affect ones action, approach and pursuit of the same, hence, the need for proper definition. Many have attributed greatness to amassing great wealth, superiority. It has been Africanized to metropolitan dictatorship, even positional influence. My mentor Jesus, the most controversial entity in the world, simply defined greatness as serving and giving your life as ransom for many(matt. 20:26-28). Simple but hard to digest right? Its not tied to position or titles, rather its simply the effect you have on people that elicits appraisals and accolades from them. It is the resultant effect of mortgaging your time to pour water in thirsty souls. This always comes with a sacrifice. He(Jesus) came to serve and not to be served. He washed the feet of his disciples and gave His life for mankind. That is true greatness. Most of us have our prideful hormones aroused unto good works only when we hear our praises and affirmations are rained on us... a spiteful show off of our filthy, stinking, deep-seated insecurity. If you occupy any political seat, inspire and lead others towards the planes of success. If otherwise, understand that greatness can be served to people from anywhere. Remember, what makes you great is what you do for people devoid of position. Next time you yell, i want to be great, you just told the world, i want to be a servant leader. Today, extend a hand/heart of love, care and help to someone who cant afford it, for that my friends, is true greatness! #Selah! #TheAnatomyOfGreatness
