Mortgage Debt relief clears its first hurdle An extension of the NAR backed Mortgage Debt Relief Act just got a little closer to becoming a reality.The Senate finance committee passed a two year retroactive extension of the law which would give tax relief to home owners whove had mortgage debt forgiven but that is just the first hurdle.
