Mosimane was clearly disappointed with the two points dropped, but says it’s not the worst result in the world. “We played against a very good team,” ‘Jingles’ said after the match. “They are our hoodoo team; they always give us problems … they never die. “We always score first but they always come back. We did this against them in the Nedbank Cup, where they came back. Today we scored, they came back. “They always score scrappy goals; from set-pieces or second play something will happen and then it’s a goal. It’s always one man at the end and it’s Robert Ng’ambi.” Mosimane added: “Look, we did well … we tried to win the game. We forced and pushed. We showed that we were playing at home and attacked a lot. We scored but, to be honest, I think we should have taken it with Dove Wome in the first four minutes when he had an one-on-one with the keeper but decided to go for his weaker foot instead of right foot. When we play against such a team, you need to take your chances. Tebogo [Langerman] went twice with [just] the keeper to beat and he should have taken that.” Mosimane has urged patience from the Sundowns supporters, saying it will take a bit of time for the team to find their rhythm. “They [Stars] are a good team, but you must remember this team has been playing like this for three years. We have a team of newly-assembled players; it’s not going to be easy and we need time to put it together.”
