Most Pastors dont have safe sober outlets to share their struggles - TopicsExpress

Most Pastors dont have safe sober outlets to share their struggles and pains with. Theres an unhealthy, unbiblical & unreal perception of the pastor and his/her role. As a result, many are forced to live behind a facade until trauma excavates them. Upon excavation most people, especially self righteous or insecure, cant deal with the humanity or process of their pastor, so they abandon and most times slander & defame in the process. All of this happens under the weight of a call to his/her family, church/ministry/community, & God. Hence, many boiling situations go unchecked and lead to devastating mental, emotional & spiritual health issues. Trust me, I know. I still hold to the godly foundation of James 5:16. However, Ive learned that even those that know that principle still will be tested by it when they have to bear the weight of the confessor. Obedience, Humility and Submission to Jesus Christ is always the answer. He makes a way out, we just have to be ready to seize those moments. Those ways out may be thru counseling, confession & care-frontation instead of confrontation. #PastorsAreHumanToo
