Most children who are abused dont grow up to be abusers. But they do have many other things like addictions, mental/emotional problems, etc...which often lead to risky behaviors & crime. Of people who are abusers, over 85% of them have been abused & havent been treated for trauma. Our societys response? Lets not heal, treat, or work on preventing trauma. Lets just keep building jails. Lets keep pushing kids through institutions & labeling them. American culture is a literal monster.
