Most days I let the comments of others roll off like water on a ducks back...today is not one of those days so bear with me if I get on my soap box for a minute. Make sure that you dont misunderstand me and think that I have all the answers that are found in the Bible or that I have arrived at my destination, lest I become as the Pharisees thinking that I have my is dotted and my ts crossed and therefore I have it right and you have it wrong. With that being said, most know that I am passionate about faith based movies and that I have been involved with them for several years. I think there are great messages in them and I dont think anyone who is involved intends for them to be perceived as a perfect textual sermon. However, I do think it is a medium by which our culture is entertained and is a great way to start conversations that eventually can lead back to the text of the Bible. I think to often we spend our time Majoring in the Minors and lose the opportunity to reach the lost. I also am offended by those who cast stones at those whos mission is to do all they can to reach the lost. Some feel their job is to preach from the pulpit or toss insults from fb, while others I know and love not only teach the word, but live it out as an example to those who would seek Jesus. I would suggest before venting on fb or in gossiping conversations that one would look in the mirror and ask them self if family is more important that missing an Alabama game or if compromising my integrity in order to get a picture with the god of my life Nick Saban is worth the cost. SO....I think Ill continue to promote good family wholesome, faith based films and try to make a difference in the world I live in. Just for the record I think there is some weight to Matthew 22:36-40. After all it was Jesus response to the question so Im pretty sure its RIGHT! So I close with this....Does it please God when I bicker and throw stones over those things that are not of importance and by doing so I continue to drive people away from any desire to be a part of a Christian family or should I do my best to draw them to a Jesus who loves them and wants them to have a relationship with Him?
