Most likely this is the last email from Elder Tagaloa as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! He shares his powerful testimony with us... :) I am so grateful for the example that he is and the love that he has for his Savior! These past 2 years have been a roller coaster of emotions and he will return with honor on August 27th! :) --- Hello. I do not think that I will have a chance or time to email next Sunday, so if not this will be my last official email as a missionary. How sad is that? It is to sad. Because it is my last I dont quite know what to say. I wish I could speak personally to each one of you and share with you the experiences that I have had while teaching others about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I wish I could share how others have changed because of what we teach. Changed, not as in rearranged their furniture or worldly things, but in the way they have changed their lives. The way they live, the things they do and say, how they treat others and more importantly how they treat themselves. Because we all are spirit sons and daughters of God, our father in heaven. Which makes us all of noble birth. Knowing we are of noble birth gives us a higher way of living, a better way of living. We were not randomly born to this earth. There is more purpose for us than what most people think, and that is because not everyone has or knows of the full plan God has for us. There is a way to know, that is through the restoration of Jesus Christs church. Before anything is said or taught or understood, we must first have faith in Jesus Christ. Believe that he truly is our Savior and that he suffered, bled and died for each one of our physical pains, sicknesses, aches and more importantly our sins. He did this so he can help us when we fall into these traps. He can heal us. Believe he can. He can take away guilt from sin and mistakes. He can take away the sorrow that comes from such sin. He can help us to feel clean inside and out. He can help us live our lives how God intended for us to live. It is through this faith that we can be forgiven and given a chance to live with God and all our brothers and sisters again and to know of our purpose on earth. When we can have this faith in Christ we must then act upon it and take the next step, which is repentance. Repentance is so important. As we sin and make mistakes we damage our spirit and give our father in heaven sorrow. For we are his children and he loves us and wants us to live better lives. But because we have faith in his son Jesus Christ we can be forgiven of any sin because of his perfect Atonement. We can be made clean again. We cant only repent and repent the for the same mistake again, but we must forsake it, and cast it out, to change forever. This is where that change begins. It lies within these first two steps. Because we have taken these first two steps, we now need to covenant with God or make promises with him that we will follow him more fully and that we will follow his son through our entire lives. This covenant or promise we make is through baptism by immersion for the remission of sins which is one of the saving ordinances that we must make. And ordinance is a physical act that we make that shows our faith and devotion to God. This is performed by someone holding the proper priesthood authority of God which we claim to have through the restoration of Christs church here on the earth in our days. (Ask me about his restored church and what that means). Only by baptism with someone holding Gods priesthood authority can we truly be forgiven and saved. There is no other way or baptism that will allow us to live with God again. Christ says so himself. This is not all nor the end. We must with baptism receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands which is the second part to baptism and also another ordinance. This as well is performed by someone holding Gods priesthood authority. This gift is truly the greatest gift from God. The Holy Ghost is a companionship. He is made up of a spirit which is why he can personally dwell within each of us to guide, teach, direct and prompt us to do what is right in all situations and guide us through life helping us to make the right choices. With his companionship you can never be led astray except if you dont follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost. When all this is done, we need to endure to the end. This means to enjoy life, all of it. To live life to the fullest of our abilities happily, safely and The Lords way. With his gospel. We endure by keeping Gods commandments, living and following Christs teachings. Most importantly it is by repeating these steps I have taught over and over. And that is to first have faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. Second is to repent of our sins. Now because you have been baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost the third thing is to now take the sacrament each Sunday. The sacrament replaces baptism after you are baptized. When we eat the bread and drink the water, we covenant or promise with God that we will follow him this week. We show our faith and willingness to repent and we are forgiven, if that is our desire. And we are promised in return that God will be with us, and that the Holy Ghost will be our guide. We do this each week because we are imperfect people who make mistakes each day. This is the way God has given us to change and become more perfect each week. Thats our goal in life, to become as he is. This is what I have been teaching people for two years. This is the greatest message in the world. The most important message you can know of right now. That God has given us a way today in our time, right now, for you and me to perform special saving ordinances for ourselves and others. It is only through these ordinances that we are able to be saved and live with our loved ones and God again. This however, has to, be done by someone who holds the authority of God. This authority has once again been given to us through Gods prophets, and one by one is given to every righteous and worthy man in the restored church of Jesus Christ. His restored church is known as, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I for the last time invite all to act upon the spirit that you have felt in this message, and to pray and ask God if what I have shared is true. I promise you that if you pray sincerely and with a real desire to know, God will tell you that it is true. He will! You will know that this is true through the feelings you will feel in your heart. They will be good. As you come to know this message is true, you to will want to be baptized and given the gift of the Holy Ghost by an authorized representative of Jesus Christ and be apart of his restored church. And I now know from my heart that what I have said is true. And I testify that this is true! In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Love for the last time, Elder Elder Kaipo Tagaloa
