Most of my Malaysian friends said that I was pretty much a Malaysian now. Adding on to my work with Tedx Petaling Street, travelling and meeting wonderful Malaysians who have done important work in and out of Malaysia -- as much as I admire and recognise their work; I have not given up on Singaporeans. To reiterate, I was born in Singapore. My heart is with Singapore. Singapore has its own fair share of great people too. I have gone around to say that Malaysia has got loads of potential for cultural development. Many Malaysians whom I have met have also made significant contributions to their own country. There are others, who are accomplished overseas; they might not have directly contributed to Malaysia. Similarly there are many Singaporeans contributing to Singapore. There are also others who are accomplished overseas, not directly contributing to Singapore. No matter what, it is the contributions that matter. Here, I would like to share a talk by a very accomplished Singapore doctor Ang Swee Chai, who has spent 36 years as a political refugee, 31 years for the Palestinians, 2 years as a widow, still contributing to peoples who suffer, no matter which nationality they belong to. In Ang Swee Chais words, A problem is a problem, no big or small, we will fix it. youtube/watch?v=u9oH7HoxmLk&feature=em-subs_digest-wl
