Most of my friends already know, but to those of you that dont My poor mum had a fall at home on Tuesday, they thought she broke her shoulder & her hip, shes only bruised her shoulder, but unfortunately broken her femur in her right leg which apparently is worse than her hip breaking, they have had her in traction since about 7pm Tuesday night and are supposed to be operating on her today,, they need to insert a rod through the middle of her bone, from the top of it to the bottom of it then screw it in place at both ends, its a bit scary as her health is not the best but it has to be done, shes still in pain & waiting,, still not operated on as yet, even though they told me at 12.30 they had her down ready to go.. So all afternoon Ive been worried sick, and waiting for a phone call then about 5.00 I got sick of waiting for them to call to say it was finished so I rang them, only to find that shes not even in yet. apparently shes still in the theatre waiting bay. I got to speak to her & she said shes comfortable, I hope she goes in soon, I rang again at 9pm and shes still waiting, they say they havent been told shes cancelled or anything so theyre still expecting it will happen tonight.. I hate this waiting,, I just cant relax till I know its all over & I know shes ok..
