Most of my friends know that I am a Christian. I do not push that - TopicsExpress

Most of my friends know that I am a Christian. I do not push that on anyone, nor will I defer when questioned or addressed on spiritual things and how that works out in my life. My faith is the result of an intellectual journey over the course of about a year, many years ago. I did my research and was overwhelmed by the burden of evidence. I had always thought that to believe the Bible was correct, I had to check my brain in the waiting room when I read from it, or walked into a church. I was wrong. One of the things that convinced me, was Biblical prophecy. There are many prophets chronicled in Scripture, and their writings contain predicted future events. Since we have the benefit of time to examine some of those predictions, we are able to test the accuracy of those predictions that spoke of (then) future events. We are in the week when Christians recognize that Jesus of Nazareth went to Jerusalem, was publicly executed, and was resurrected 3 days later. I wanted to share with you that the prophet Daniel (Dan 9:25) predicted to THE DAY when Jesus would ride on a donkey into Jerusalem. He wrote those words some 560 years prior to the event. His information and/or inspiration for that must have come from outside a reality that exists in linear time. In other words it, by definition, had to come from a supernatural source. Hmmm.
