Most of the issue anymore is that people are focused more on their wedding than their marriage...More on finding a person thats willing to marry them when they had pictured themselves being married, than finding someone theyre actually compatible with and building a solid relationship with them. More on finding someone who is established than establishing yourselves together. People are willing to completely give up on another person because they arent willing to compromise their standards(the unattainable ones, not the simple ones like being with someone who doesnt abuse you, cheat on you, etc those are NORMAL standards...getting a new piece of jewelry, flowers, having a man who answers your every whim...those are often unrealistic)...and I dont mean that you should just find the next loser you see and get with him/her, and throw your life down the drain for the sake of loving them and building them up....because chances are that wont happen...but what Im saying is, the person youre with will NOT be perfect all the time...DONT EXPECT THEM TO BE...your marriage wont always be fun and games, it wont always be sunshine and happiness, but do you think giving up and starting with another person will make that better? nope. Prepare yourselves MORE for the marriage than for the wedding. Get your dress, get your tux, but make sure your heart is right and let the beauty of your wedding day be evident NOT from the pretty outfits, but from the LOVE that you share with your new husband/wife. and dont let it fade. but, if by chance your love(the emotion) fades...kick in the love ACTION and decide that youre keeping your vow...the emotion/feeling will follow with anything that you put work into.
