Most of the people who vote for the NDC are peasant farmers and fishermen who can hardly make ends meet. They are also those who find it more than difficult to educate their children beyond the J.H.S level. One would have expected that a caring and sensitive government would enact policies and programmes that seek to extricate them from their predicaments, but not those which will sink them further down the social ladder! It therefore comes to me as shocking that inputs these vulnerable Ghanaians use to till the land and fish have been laddened with taxes by the government that prides itself of being a social democratic. One is therefore not far from the truth to think that this Mahama-led interim administration is composed of self-seeking vultures and scavengers who do not have the people they claim to love at heart!
