Most of us have heard or read that you can make money online, but are often skeptical for a number of reasons. This post is specifically designed to encourage to seek out ways to make money online, because doing so, when done right will free you from the rat race and put you on the course to financial freedom or at least give you some wiggle room from your 9 to 5. Some ways to have an internet based business includes, but not limited to publishing ebooks (my favorite), affiliate marketing, blogging for dollars, drop shipment (think Amazon, eBay, etc.) and many more. Some of the things I did to learn about what was real and what were possible scams was to read books about making money online, apply what I could and see what results if any I would have. This is how I started learning to earn money from blogging using Google Adsense. Keep in mind Ive never made a ton of money from blogging, but to actually receive a check of $100+ from Google was cool, so I knew it was legit and worked. Additionally, this is merely the tip of the iceberg as there are a number of other ways to maximize blogging for dollars. Publishing ebooks is by far my favorite, because just about anyone can do it, after all you have life, academic, research and/or professional experience that gives you the authority to write and publish your own ebook. There are a number of platforms to publish, but for many people publishing on Amazons Kindle is probably best. There are exceptions to this, but going into great details requires more time than Im willing to commit at this time. Affiliate marketing is relatively straight forward in that you promote other peoples products using your unique url (code). Whenever someone clicks on the links and buys the product you receive a commission its that simple. You may have seen people throughout Facebook posting various links, especially in different groups. Often times these are affiliate links, however, this is NOT the best way to go about being a successful affiliate marketer, because often times you look like a spammer, plus the conversion rate is often really low. There are much better ways to improve your chances for success as an affiliate marketer. Recently, Amazon has created new opportunities for people to sell products. Ive come across people who are crushing it, right now, earning $50,000+ a month. Yes, those are real numbers. I havent got on the bandwagon, because Im focused on publishing ebooks while providing professional ebook publishing coaching/consulting services for others to do the same. However, its definitely worth looking into as you could earn great money. None of what I shared should be viewed as get rich quick schemes, each of these opportunities should be viewed as real businesses where you start or eventually set up a business checking account, get a federal tax id and so forth. The point here is to encourage you to seek out the opportunities, so you can change your financial position within the next 12 to 24 months, perhaps sooner if youre really hungry.
