Most of you know that at the beginning of the year my nan - TopicsExpress

Most of you know that at the beginning of the year my nan unfortunately had meningitis, we were told she had 30% chance of surviving. But somehow our little miracle survived. When she first got taken to hospital she was place on a normal ward as the critical care unit was full.. She was there for 24 hours, no machines, no nothing just in a room unconcsious.. Then we she finally got up to critical care and about a week later when she regained consciousness we were told that each room had its own doctor/nurse.. Everytime we went to see her they were understaffed, so much so me and my cousin felt more like the doctors, helping nan and stuff.. She was forgot about for the lunches, sometimes breakfast etc.. In the end we put in a complaint, being left on the first ward for 24 hours could have made nan so much worse.. We get the report back yesterday and it basically said that because my nan survived theres nothing they can do, no action can be taking against the ward and or individuals.. In otherwords, if she didnt make it they might of done something else.. Fuming! How can a hospital treat a 71 year old woman so bad and get away with it just because she miraculously survived 😶
