Most of you may know Ive been struggling with my type II diabetes - TopicsExpress

Most of you may know Ive been struggling with my type II diabetes and weight loss for years. I have been insulin dependent (2 types) for several years now and was told I might be insulin resistant. As of last year I was considering surgery, and thats still on the table. However, amazing things have happened. I have found a food plan that actually works to bring my glucose levels to normal (first time in years), and not only that, but it did so within a weeks time. Something the meds and insulin have failed to do by themselves for years. I am not opening this up for debate or suggestions, but putting this out there for info. sake for those who may be struggling as I was. This is what is working for me. Look into this if you like and do your own research. Take it to your doctor and see if its right for you, if you wish to consider it for your own food plan. Essentially the food plan is there is no flour or bread or simple carbs. I eat every 2 1/2-3 hours. But, really the key is that every meal, except breakfast, includes 1 cup of any kind of beans. Yep, you got it beans. The high fiber in the beans seems to be doing the trick at stabilizing my glucose levels and keeps me at a steady level all day as well as keeps me satisfied. My glucose levels have been in the perfect range. For breakfast I eat high fiber cereals or oatmeal with almond milk and 1/2 banana. I am crock potting beans as we speak. My house may not smell to great, but my body feels much better, thank you! lol
