Most of you will know that Im no longer a fan of setting up fishing base camp and using all the paraphernalia that goes with long stay angling for species such as carp. These days I just like to travel light and fish short sessions. But that doesnt mean Im blinkered to new innovations in rigs, bait and tackle - you can always learn new tricks. With the pressure that goes with handling very big carp on the bank - technically these fish are worth a lot of money - the new innovation of carp cradles removes some of the risks of fish bouncing off mats. Its a secure sling where nothing can really go wrong. Of course, theyll obviously work for other species too. Ive now bought the Nash range of cradles for Fishing Hut for those who feel they want to go the extra yard. They wont be for everyone but I know the shop lads are on an expedition to France and theyve all armed themselves with cradles.
