Mostly cloudy tonight with a chance of a few snow showers and possibly some freezing drizzle. Lows will fall into the lower to middle 20s overnight. More snow is on the way for Monday. During the day some will see around an inch. Away from the lake most areas will see around 2 to 6 inches of snow from Monday night into Tuesday evening. Some locally higher amounts will be possible. In the lake effect snow watch area LaPorte, Porter and Starke Counties and western sections of St. Joseph County, Inidana and western sections of Berrien County, Michigan could see amounts exceeding 10 inches. The National Weather Service has issued a Lake Effect Snow Watch for these areas for the prospect that some could see one to two feet of snow where the heavy snow band sets up. Those hefty amounts may not be widespread but they will sure slow things down where they occur. This is a rapidly changing situation. We will be keeping a close eye on this heavy snow potential and be providing frequent updates. It is quite probable that we will be updating our snowfall amounts in the hours ahead.
