Mostly thanks to all the help Ive received from this group (and partly thanks to intense and unrelenting stubbornness), I finally made it to Minmus! Heres the killer: I actually made it back. Alive. With science! Ive never posted screenshots to the group before, as Ive never really done anything worth sharing, but I feel this (as a personal best) warrants a couple of snapshots. I didnt screenshot the original launcher as, honestly, I didnt expect The S.S. Kitkat (Named by a somewhat tired friend on Mumble) to make it much farther than LKO. Pictured is Jeb, stood proudly by his first flag on a foreign rock, his trusty lander in the background. Again, due to low expectations, the lander was somewhat rushed. In hindsight, I wish Id taken more experiments and/or more RCS fuel (I used the monoprop to jump from midlands to highlands, collecting and storing data as I went). Maybe next time Ill take a rover. The possibilities seem endless! I dont know what to do with all this science!
