Motherwell Diocese and the Future This weekend Bishop Toal has asked for a letter to be read at all Masses concerning the provision of pastoral care in the diocese. The fact is that we have fewer priests and we must address this situation as a diocese- bishop, clergy and laity need to discuss what our vision of Church is and how to plan for that vision now. It is not primarily about closing parishes but asking the question how can we best live and promote our Catholic faith with the resources that we possess.
