‘Mother’s Musings’ Friday January 23rd Mark 3:13:-19 As Jesus’ celebrity status with the crowds increases the opposition from the hierarchy heats up. Jesus keeps an over-night vigil of prayer before choosing 12 men whom he will train especially by personal example and teaching so that they will be able to go out and preach the gospel and perform acts of healing and deliverance. What a varied group of men and most unlikely candidates Jesus selects for Christian service. These men are not even likely to get on well with each other as a community! What encouragement that is for us.
