Mothibe Lichwe reinstated as head of customary court of appeal Former Bakgatla regent Kgosi Mothibe Linchwe has been reinstated as President of the Customary Court of Appeal in the southern region. Kgosi Mothibe, who together with 13 other Bakgatla tribesmen were found guilty of destroying a Mascom Tower in Mochudi in 2009, was pardoned by President Khama in November last year. Government says the granting of the Presidential Pardon restored Kgosi Mothibe to civil liberties, including the right to hold a public office. Kgosi Mothibe will resume his duties next month. He told Gabz Fm news that he asked for clemency because he feels he has served government for a long time.
