Motor traders in Guernsey say they remain completely opposed to new car charges, despite the proposed taxes being relaxed. This month, deputies will be asked to support a softer width and emissions charge for vehicles first registered in the island. Dave Beausire, from Guernsey Motor Trades Association, told ITV News that the move was just a token gesture that would do absolutely nothing. See his comments here:
