Motorist Nightmare #1: having a spider run over your arm while you are doing 100km on the freeway. Yes, seriously. Ill give you a second to recover ... Fortunately by the time I realised it was a spider (a large but harmless huntsman) it was heading up the drivers window. I remember very little about the next few seconds, but luckily I had to stop at lights where I encouraged him out of the window. Last seen (or so I thought!!) heading off towards the ground. 3 hours later, driving home on the freeway in the dark, imagine my feelings when the oncoming headlights showed him crawling up the windscreen. The initials O.M.G. are barely adequate. A few more cars and I could see he was on the outside, so my concern switched instantly from myself to him (how soppy is that). Unbelievably, he managed to hang on for 20 mins at 80-100kph, before finally disappearing up onto the roof. Who knows where he will turn up next!
