Mount Gambier Police are investigating a string of daylight break-ins and thefts in the north-east of the town and ask residents to keep an eye out for suspicious activity. A woman has been seen acting suspiciously in the vicinity of some of these break-ins. She is described as of Caucasian appearance, aged in her mid 30s, 178cm, with long brown hair. The woman has been observed knocking on doors (front and back), walking down driveways and looking over fences. When confronted she says she is lost or looking for a dog. Anyone who sees this woman is urged not to let her into your house and to contact the police assistance line immediately on 131 444.
