Mountain 4-2 Lodgers Ryan (3) Will Another impressive display to finish our season on a high. Lodgers looked like a capable team but Mountain, able to field an unchanged line up for the first time in forever, oozed confidence which seemed justified when me, Johnny and Will all exchanged passes to free up Ryan Stone to smash home a superb opener. Richard Godefroy was again in form between the sticks as Lodgers pushed for an equaliser. I was hungry to repeat my goal scoring exploits of the previous week but was denied my their keeper, however when Will burst through he crashed in another fine goal. We werent having it all our own way and Lodgers got some reward for their persistency to pull one back before the break. The next goal would be crucial and with David Squires and Mitchell Allen able to snuff out Lodgers attacks it was us who got the vital score and it was Ryan, on top of his game, who restored our two goal advantage. I was again thwarted by a wonder save but Ryan completed a fine hattrick to make it 4-1. Even a late consolation couldnt spoil a great performance for my send off as manager. Its been a blast!
