Move it Monday. I have spent years and years of money on fitness products, gym memberships, and diet aids. And I am embarrassed to say that I have rarely used them or gotten my money’s worth. I am probably the best gym customer, paying and never going. There are so many ways to get some movement going and enjoy the process. Things like parking far away from the entrance of a store, walking the long way around the parking lot to get back to your car. In honor of the upcoming spooky holiday – Halloween, if you are able this year head to a pumpkin patch. If you need to rent some kids to feel better about doing it, call up a friend with young ones and make it an adventure. When you get out to the field, begin doing squats, lifting up one pumpkin, putting it down, lifting up another, putting it down. See how many pumpkins you can lift for 5, 10 or 15 minutes. And while you are at it, enjoy the day. Take in the children, the hay ride, and the sunny skies. Or head on over to an apple orchard, and start picking apples. Stand up on your toes, and extend your hands as high as you can to reach the farthest apple. Fill that wheel barrow and be the one who pushes it back to the site. Doesn’t that sound like so much more fun than that old gym? What fun workout can you plan for this week? This weekend? Think about it, post it below then make it happen!
