Move to the country, they said. It will be fun, they said ...Well, it has been awhile since I actually engaged in hand-to-hand combat. I found myself in that situation today. With a billy goat. Got home from Springfield and backed into my carport when I was greeted by this horny goat, and he was horny in more than one way. I guess he thought we were going for the same female goat. I didnt see him till I was out of my car. Ive got a whole new appreciation for steer wrestlers and mutton busters. He butted me twice with his horns and I wrestled him for a minute but I could see I was going to lose badly. I got behind one of the posts under my carport and we did this little dance till I made a run for it and jumped back into my car. Went across the road to let his owners know he was out and he came charging again! They werent home. So I made it back into my Escape, and well... escaped. He came back across the highway three times and cornered one of our therapy dogs on my porch. A friend suggested wasp spray. The next time he came over I deterred him with that. Finally a fella down the road helped get him back inside. Thats when I learned the family has moved and left the goat, several cows and four kittens behind. I think Im going to move, I cant take anymore of this. Maybe being a country girl doesnt suit me so well. Lol.
