Movie Review: The Tall Man. When her child goes missing, a mother looks to unravel the legend of the Tall Man, an entity who allegedly abducts children. I didnt know much about this film going in, other than what I saw in the trailer and that it was recommended to me as a decent flick. What grabbed me first of all was the great way in which this was filmed, with the use of great camera work that really added to the feel of the movie. The quaint small town of Cold Rock and its surroundings are beautiful to look at. Then you realize the great performance from Jessica Biel as the frantic mother searching for her child. She was top notch in this which surprised me. Then there was the completely unexpected twist in the plot that you never see coming. The movie unfolds in an eerie way which keeps you hooked the whole time, and the movie is very well paced that its almost over before youd expect. Then in the final scenes theres another story twist and it leaves you asking yourself questions. All in all it was a great drama/thriller with a well written, filmed and acted storyline that will keep you intrigued until the end. Its not scary, but Id say it is eerie. Id recommend this movie. 8/10.
