Movie Review: The Theory of Everything. Wonderful story, good - TopicsExpress

Movie Review: The Theory of Everything. Wonderful story, good movie with a few painful lapses in judgment. Eddie Redmayne does an amazing job going from geek science nerd to world famous thinker, spending half the movie silently acting with his eyes and a contorted face. Felicity Jones is a porcelain beauty and turns in a fine performance, marred only by playing second fiddle to Eddies character, the viewer is left wanting too see more of the mind behind her enchanting gaze. For fans of Stephen Hawking the story of his life is told with much left to the imagination, the disintegration of a marriage is barely sketched out. The final 60 seconds of the movie are maddening. Two hours of a beautifully shot film and in a fumbling attempt to play on winding back time attempted by a series of flashbacks to prior scenes of the movie. How that did that lunacy get by test audiences? A sophomoric vandalism of a movie and the years worst directorial decision. Go see the movie. Three stars with an unsightly blemish.
