Mq~ Please post for me! HELP!!!!! Since day 1 of my LO being born, she ended up in the NICU right after the delivery of my c-section due to of me having a temp of 101.3*F and thought that their was an infection that had crossed into the placenta. They put her on formula in the NICU. I wanted to breast feed since I found out I was pregnant. So, I had a lactation consultant came in and had shown me how to use the pump, breast feed (including using a nipple shield because I couldnt get my LO to latch) and other things too. I have been breast feeding as much as possible and substituting with formula because I cant seem to be making enough milk. Earlier this week, I had gotten my period for the 2nd time since my LO has been born. Now she is completely refusing my boob. She will either latch on for a couple of seconds or she will completely turn her head away from me and cries/screams. I have attempted numerous things the last couple of days of trying to get her to latch back on; using the nipple shield again, skin-to-skin, having the room peace and quiet, etc and still nothing seems to work. I have been pumping as much as I can and when I can, I am not getting very much out. I feel like I am a complete failure and bad mother because my LO is now refusing my boob. So, now I have given up totally and I am refusing to eat as well. I am in tears. I dont know what to do. I was really enjoying the bonding with my LO when breast feeding. Thanks for reading.
