♥ (¯` * •. ¸ ♥ Mr Bigglesworth update ♥ ¸. • * ¯) ♥ WooHoo! Lauren and the ever so cute Mr B have made it to Newton, MS! Dianne Gargaro will now be taking over as conductor and driving our VIP to Vicksburg, MS. Another super conductor on Mr B’s journey, Dianne is driving 2 legs, but she is also going a 100+ miles in the opposite direction to pick Mr B and coming back through her hometown of Vicksburg, only to keep on going to cross over the border into Monroe, LA. Our conductors ROCK!!!!!!!! About the Sphynx breed: The Sphynx is also not the ideal pet for everybody, They are not a maintenance-free animal. People assume that because it has no hair, they don’t require grooming. But Sphynx cats need to be bathed at least once a week. You have to clean their ears and paws frequently because they have no hair to filter out dirt. You also have to keep a Sphynx in a warm environment. It would be like walking around with no clothes. They have expressive eyes, are affectionate, active, love to climb, and very intelligent. Some people believe cats like Mr. Bigglesworth are hypo-allergenic, that is, that people who are allergic to cats can safely own a Sphynx. Theres no such thing as hypo-allergenic cat, said Dr. Marc S. Goldstein, associate professor of clinical medicine at MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine and an expert on allergies. And hair doesnt have much to do with it. What most people allergic to cats are bothered by, he explained, is a protein that is secreted by the sebaceous glands in the cats skin and that also is in saliva that gets on the skin when the cat licks itself. And the Sphynx produces this protein just like any other cat.
