Mr. Hubbard, you old fool, yes, this controversy is rooted in what Im sure you see as our cultures obsession with racial sensitivity, but you should be much more concerned about the journalistic integrity of your newsroom. Your reporter was duped by the oldest con in the book -- the vindictive source. Sure, you look insensitive -- and thats important -- but much more important, you look stupid and incompetent, stubborn to the point of callousness, a man too prideful to care about hurting others or even his own reputation. Your company -- the brand you worked a lifetime to build -- is a national joke -- and its well deserved. Think about that: You are not a hero for free speech; you are the fodder of late-night comedians, a laughingstock, an embarrassment to your entire community. Is this how you want to be remembered? Not as a pioneer of television, not as the inventor of satellite TV, but as a cranky old fool who got duped and was too stubborn to do anything about it. You, sir, are a fool.
