Mr Huku would like to clarify some points which some of our readers are failing to grasp. Our poultry contract production is meant to identify entrepreneurs who are then trained and funded by Mr Huku. The concept is popular in USA, India and Brazil. This is a business arrangement premised on a win win concept. An entrepreneur is a person so the focus is on the person. The traditional business approach has been that those who have infrastructure are supposed to be funded and this is the reason why our economy has collapsed. Ownership of infrastructure does not translate into ability to run one profitably. Our focus is own people and we have our own ways of determining the most suitable. We will invite applicants through the press for a series of workshops. Its not funding alone which makes a business prosper, the Reserve Bank has done that with disastrous results. The primary objective of any business entity is to make a profit. We are being financed by International investors who expect a return on their investment. Its actually better for us to contract a person without infrastructure but with potential for success than someone who has infrastructure but lacks business acumen. OK Shops do not own most of the outlets they operate from. We have already identified enough infrastructure to lease out to those who qualify but lack infrastructure. These people will then be assisted to construct modern poultry houses. Theres absolutely no rule which says those who own farms are the best farmers. This is an imbalance which we are addressing, those with potential to farm should be given the opportunity to farm. Having poultry infrastructure is an advantage only if you show potential to run it. Business needs more than just funding.
