Mr Lardner spot on again......." I seriously cannot even begin to unpack the semiotics of the President of a country addressing a distinguished group of the Nation’s intellectual elite, and yet joking about protecting corrupt individuals because he does not want to be attacked. On the basis of this statement, clearly his allegiance lies elsewhere. Or perhaps like in the street gangs of America right through to the political gangs of Nigeria there is that universal code ‘Snitches get stitches.’ If you talk you will be attacked. Yo.. homies... our prezzy ain’t no snitch! The gang will be proud."
