Mr. Moore will have his day in court as he should but according to this article it sounds as if circumstances that enabled Davids alleged embezzlement are also being looked into. That seems to be something very much needed. There has been a great deal of attention on Mr. Moore and not nearly enough on those around him. Who knew what when? Who had warning signs and said nothing? Who didnt do their due diligence? While highly doubtful did some outright enable beyond simply being negligent. I hope that these things are seriously considered and looked into so that we are less likely to have repeat performances in the future. There certainly seemed to be some red flags given in the filings against David Moore and reported in the paper. Were there others? A $25,000 bounced check to the city for example? What were the circumstances there? As it was cleared up did anyone consider actually looking at bank records? Or perhaps the Tourism Council? How did they not know what was going on with Kate Kellys insurance? Were they that hands off? If so, why? When Kate started having insurance problems did she not mention it to anyone other than Mr. Moore? If not, why not? Many questions still abound as we move forward.
